September 11th Remembrance

2,977 miniature flags representing those killed on September 11th 2001
UPDATE: Due to the threat of rain, this event will likely be held inside the Kewaskum Annex Building, located directly behind the Memorial.
Please join the Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial & Education Center for our annual September 11th Memorial event.
This year’s event will be held on Sunday, September 11th beginning at 1 p.m.
Guests include:
Lisa Burgess — Burgess is a survivor of the attacks on the Pentagon and former reporter for the Stars and Stripes publication. She will speak about her firsthand experiences the day of the attack.
Emerson Lehmann — Lehmann is a reporter for CBS 58 Milwaukee and a graduate of Kewaskum High School. Seeing attacks of September 11th, 2001 on TV is one of his earliest memories. He recalls learning a lot about 9/11 from former KHS teacher, Jerry Gosa, and he will speak to the importance of education.
Also participating in the program will be Fr. Jacob Strand, the Kewaskum American Legion Honor Guard, Kewaskum High School Band, and singer Windy Hope.
**NOTE TO RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES** — Fond du Lac Ave. will be closed between Main St. and 2nd St. during the event.
