About the Veterans Area

In the northwestern corner of the Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial & Education Center is the Memorial’s veterans area. The veterans area is a tribute to those who have served in the United States Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard.

Following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, thousands of Wisconsin’s military citizens were called to duty, and thousands more enlisted to join the fight against terrorism.

The veterans area at the Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial & Education Center serves to remember and thank those who pledged their lives for our freedom, and in some cases made the ultimate sacrifice.
