Tarra Gundrum is riding 1,000+ miles to support the Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial!

July 1, 2022

Have you ever taken a passion and mixed it a need to create an EPIC adventure? That’s exactly what Tarra Gundrum is doing in just a few short weeks.

Tarra will be traveling by bicycle from West Bend, Wis. to Washington, D.C. raising funds for the Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial and Education Center.

Part of the Memorial’s mission is to educate future generations, they’ve developed lesson plans and visitor activities to help students understand and reflect on the attacks of September 11, 2001.

Now it’s time to raise additional funding to get this information into the hands of our educational partners & community organizations for continued learning!

Tarra is trying to raise enough money to help cover this cost along with creation of “bus scholarships” so that our students can take much needed field trips, receiving a hands-on learning experience; one that they will NEVER FORGET!

“My contribution efforts will come by way of blood, sweat, and I’m sure, a few tears as I ride my bicycle from West Bend, Wis. to Washington, D.C.”, said Gundrum.

An Epic Adventure

Tarra’s trip, which departs on August 14th, includes one ferry, the crossing of six states, traveling of 1,000+ miles, with one train ride from D.C. back to Wisconsin where she will then bike with friends and supporters for the final leg of the trip from the Milwaukee County War Memorial to the Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial on September 3rd!
